Baltimore City Coffee Shops
Ceremony Coffee Roasters - Harbor Point
"Coffee should be something better." Started in 2002 in their Annapolis roastery location, Ceremony Coffee now has six additional locations, four of which are in Baltimore! This is a true coffee aficionado's haven, with a focus on the quality and sourcing of the bean, the farming and roasting process, and then the skill of creating the perfect cup. The well-curated cafe-style menu compliments the coffee, and even offers some craft cocktails, local beer, and wine. The Harbor Point location has an amazing view of the water. Great atmosphere and a great latte, and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. An excellent example of customer service was when I was told, "I'll be with you right away." My almond croissant was delicious. This is a great place to check out.
OneDo Coffee Roasters - Canton
OneDo is a place I frequent often. A perfect place to relax outside, there are lush plants and even a grapevine trellis overhead that create a bit of privacy from the street. The inside is equally cozy. Besides being friendly, the staff makes excellent coffee. They make good breakfast sandwiches, but my favorite is avocado toast with boiled eggs. The seasonal drinks are always spot-on with what you what to taste any time of year. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for an amazing cup of coffee or tea.
High Grounds Coffee Roasters - Highlandtown
"Something good is brewing in Baltimore." Excellent coffee shop with a large variety of coffee and tea. I appreciated the owner's kindness and effort in serving everyone promptly! This is a true neighborhood spot with a homey and unpretentious vibe. They do their roasting in-house. The question of the day gives you a chance to win free coffee! We had a nice quick breakfast sandwich as well. Get your coffee to go to enjoy as you walk through Patterson Park.
Daily Grind Coffee - Fell's Point
"Funky." A true staple in Fell's Point, this is a great place for a quick breakfast or lunch, or a even a "work from home" day. There is lots of seating inside and out, perfect for working on a laptop or meeting with collegues. The prices here are also very affordable. There is a walk-up dog-friendly window. You'll see lots of locals here on their morning walk down Thames Street. You definitely want to put this one on your list!
Artifact Coffee - Hampden
With a true focus on sustainability, Artifact features Counter Culture Coffee and the freshest food from local farms. They make all of their breads and pastries in-house. Located in the historic Union Mill, you'll get an delicious bite to eat and a perfect coffee to enjoy in a super cool stone building. There are outdoor tables and ample parking. Bring your dog!
