There is no doubt that Manchester, Maryland, loves its firefighters. Manchester honors its local volunteer firefighters from late June through Independence Day with a week-long Carnival Week. Music, fireworks, home-cooked food, and the crowning of the Fire Queen are just some of the attractions.

Several of these parks are in or near Manchester's Millers neighborhood, including Westside Memorial Park, the only skate park for skateboarders and inline skaters.
